Our Story
One thing I learned early as a mother of two boys: some children don't naturally switch off at bedtime.
My older son was an intensely active child. Most nights his mind was still running long after the day had ended — questions, stories, random conversations, all at 9:30 at night. That's when I noticed something. Storytelling wasn't just entertainment for him; it was a transition — a way for his energy to settle and his emotions to soften before sleep. We made up stories every single night, and they did their quiet magic.
Now I'm a mother again, with a twenty-month-old in a phase of unmatched energy — and we're building his bedtime routine the same way. My husband, the AI enthusiast in our family, saw how much those nightly stories settled our older son and wondered: what if AI could help parents create that same magic every night, without running out of stories or energy? That's how Sleepy Spell was born — out of our own bedtimes, for parents trying to settle children overstimulated by a world full of screens.

Generic story content is generated on our secure servers from non-identifying inputs like theme and tone - no child data is sent. Your child's name and details are added on your device, so every story is personalized without anything about your child leaving your phone.

Our neural text-to-speech engine reads stories aloud with warm, natural-sounding voices. It runs on-device too, so narration works offline with no delays.
